More Detailed WWE Results (10/8): Anaheim, CA.

- Mason Ryan def. Zack Ryder. Ryan (FCW Champion) was very over with the crowd. Both guys were given a good amount of time to work with. Ryan pretty much controlled the match, and looked pretty good.

- The Bella Twins then came out to pump up the crowd. They picked some kid from the crowd to hop over the barricade and be the special guest ring announcer or something like that for the next match.

- Santino and Vladimir Kozlov then came out followed by Nexus (minus Wade Barrett). The RAW GM then "sent" a message (lights dimming with notification and all) to Justin Roberts at ringside. He then announced the match was changed to a dance-off. Santino and Kozlov did their usual comedy routine. Nexus then performed a two-step. Votes were taken from the crowd (obviously Santino/Kozlov won), but then Justin Gabriel grabbed the mic and demanded the match begin.

- David Otunga & Justin Gabriel def. Santino & Vladimir Kozlov. Santino played to the crowd the whole match. Kozlov slipped off the apron at one point to many laughs. Otunga slammed Santino to set up Gabriel for the 450 splash finish. Looked very awesome live.

- William Regal then came out (still announced as '08 King of the Ring winner) followed by a returning Ezekiel Jackson. Regal then told Zeke that he betrayed him, so it looks like they're continuing that angle.

- Ezekiel Jackson def. William Regal. Basically a squash. Regal controlled early and backed Zeke into the corner, but Zeke shoved Regal back and powerslammed him for the pinfall. Crowd loved the finish.

- CM Punk then came out, so I guess he's who was "traded" to RAW for Edge. He got into many staredowns and arguments with people sitting at ringside. He then grabbed the mic and cut a promo basically saying he doesn't care if the crowd loved Anaheim and that straight-edge means he's better than you. R-Truth then came out to sing his song in gibberish and pump the crowd up with his what's ups.

- CM Punk def. R-Truth. Nice evenly paced match between the two. About 10 minutes. Back-and-forth match ended with Punk getting the GTS for the pinfall.

- Daniel Bryan def. John Morrison to retain the U.S. Championship. Danielson came out to a rather average reaction from the crowd. The two shook hands before the match. This was an awesome match. Danielson worked on Morrison with his various submissions, but the match never felt slow, then it picked up going towards the finish. Danielson was on his game, Morrison was also on his game, and the crowd just loved everything these two did. About a 10-15 minute match ended with a fast series of roll-ups that saw Danielson get the pinfall. After the match, they shook hands again and congratulated each other. Crowd then applauded the effort of the two. You don't see this often in WWE anymore. Just great stuff.

- Took a quick 5-minute intermission at this point.

- Wade Barrett def. Mark Henry. Crowd hadn't completely filed back in at this point so Barrett didn't get much of a reaction. Decent match. Given about 5 minutes. Nexus did a run-in to distract Henry, so Barrett exposed the turnbuckle, slammed Henry into it, and give him a running big boot to get the pinfall.

- Justin Roberts then announces that WWE will be returning to Southern California on December 5th in Ontario, CA at the Citizen Business Bank Arena. Tickets on sale next Saturday.

- Melina & Eve def. Maryse & Alicia. The match began with the face Divas pumping up the crowd, while the heel Divas tried to do the same. Typical Divas match, ended in a DQ after Alicia (not the legal Diva) kicked Eve in the back on the apron, so the ref saw it and stopped the match. About a 5-minute segment. Maryse and Alicia argued all the way going up the entrance way and to the back.

- Up next was the steel cage match for the WWE Championship. The ref had to assemble the cage while the rest of the crew handed him the parts. Crowd was cheering the ref on the whole time, and when he secured each of the cage, a big pop came from the crowd. All this while they played the music when the Hell in a Cell lowers, and that was on for about 6-7 minutes. It was hilarious.

- Randy Orton def. Sheamus to retain the WWE Championship in a steel cage match. Huge heat for Sheamus, massive pops for Orton. About a 15 minute match, and was a great match between the two. Crowd cheered heavily for whatever Orton did, booed heavily for whatever Sheamus did. Nexus did a run-in towards the finish to distract Orton, and the kids in the crowd were yelling "RANDY TURN AROUND RANDY!" Orton fought them off, stopped Sheamus from trying to climb out the other side, and Orton eventually hit the RKO on Sheamus for the pinfall. Crowd went insane for the RKO and the finish. After the match, Nexus went inside the cage to surround Orton and beat him, but then eventually the RAW locker room (including Ezekiel) came out to save Orton. Nexus was chased away, leaving Wade Barrett in the ring, so then Orton hit the RKO on him. Crowd went insane again, Orton posed with the title, walked to the back, lights turned back on, show over.

Overall, it was a fun show. Some entertaining moments, some actually good matches, and an awesome atmosphere. It was my first house show and I could immediately notice the differences from a house show and a live TV show or TV taping. Check it out whenever one is in your area.

Most pops: 1. Orton, 2. Morrison, 3. R-Truth

Most heat: 1. Sheamus, 2. Nexus, 3. CM Punk

Big Update On Jericho's Wrestling Future, WWE Status

Chris Jericho recently spoke with UK's "The Sun," providing an update on his current pro wrestling future, including his WWE status specifically.

When questioned about his WWE status, Jericho stated: "I have a certain understanding with Vince [McMahon]. Sometimes he gets mad at me, sometimes I get mad at him. But the bottom line is I love wrestling and I love the WWE. I will never wrestle anywhere other than the WWE. That's a given and everyone knows it."

On his future in pro wrestling, Jericho stated: ""I could tell you everything that is going on in black and white, but that wouldn't be as fun. You'll have to wait and see how things play out. I got kicked in the head in WWE and now I'm coming to the UK to rock my socks off."

Early plans for The Undertaker at WrestleMania have included talks of a potential match against John Cena. In a new report it's being said that while Sheamus continues to be the leading candidate for 'Taker's Mania opponent, WWE officials have been seriously considering the idea of Undertaker vs Cena.
________________________________________________

According to a well-placed source in WWE Mysterio has discussed with management several concerns he has regarding his character and the future of the Smackdown brand.

With stars like Shawn Michales, Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho seemingly out of the WWE picture, and with news that Triple H is not in any hurry to return to TV, we're being told that low locker room morale is continuing to see fallout.

"There's a real sense of disappointment in WWE right now," our source told us, "paychecks are down, from pay per view bonuses to merchandise royalties. Only the very top guys are making great money, and it's the guys underneath who are really feeling the pinch right now."

Smackdown's first rating on Syfy wasn't a morale booster, either. The show registered a 1.7 cable rating, averaging 2.5 million viewers over the course of the two-hour broadcast. WWE was expecting, and openly talking about scoring at least a 2.0 for the live edition of the show. The Smackdown locker room is concerned what will happen after the initial week's hype and publicity for the live cablecast."

Mysterio still has considerable time left on his contract, but he's a prominent star who is addressing his concerns with the company. "With Matt Hardy obviously wanting out, and Chris Jericho leaving so publicly," our WWE insider told us, "it's going to be hard for WWE management to maintain the happy face mentality much longer."
