New Country Leaderboards

Hi All,

The player leaderboard page @ http://www.8baller.co.uk/players/ has just been updated with new "World", "UK" and "USA" Leaderboards.

I understand at this stage many countries wont have their own leaderboard. However i am working on more leaderboards and a good way for them all to be viewable. Its difficult to display over 200 different country leaderboards so give me some time on that one.

One idea would be to auto detect your country from your internet connection, and then display that country leaderboard as the default leaderboard. This way everyone gets to se their own country leaderboards. It may also encourage players to choose the correct flags in your game profiles. Auto detecting country is around 90% accurate so it still may sometimes have to default to "world" ... just an idea i might try out later.

But anyways, for now we have new "World", "UK" and "USA" Leaderboards.

I did look for you Steve but we dot have many decent rated NZ players lol. I will try to implement everyones "own country" in the way I suggested above. I'm actually doing some tests on it now to see how well it works..

So it would auto detect your country, then display that country leader board as the default board, if cannot detect it would default to world leader board. Then also have an option (maybe drop down menu) to view other countries leader boards.

That would probably make it looking more tidy when we add more country's.

Damn I shouldn't have stopped playing at my best...would be top of UK leaderboard lol
