Yes, that's the problem Bill, to cover the whole day with mods from the right places in relation to time differences.

RE: Abusing issue
Hmm, I dont see the point in this, everyone is different...which is why language is so effective, you will never be able to stop verbal abusers, whether someone is saying "fuck you" or "fuck yes!" there will always be a way around things...I personally have no problem with this, everyone uses curse words haha, i dont think you should then be condemned. I gladly report someone who is antagonizing me to a threatening degree, but not until im truly annoyed, there are always going to be juveniles here, so just ignore them! reporting players over and over again because your offended by "fck yoo" is absurd, so be the mature one and beat them in a game of pool haha that seems to piss them off. I dont really get offended because I know its just some dork who thinks hes a badass because he can make fun of your mom like grade schoolers back in the late 90's! I dont know, Id say laugh it off or cause further problems. Dont be the one to utilize the report link ten times a day because some kid typed "f a g"

One of my many thoughts on it, just kinda bitchin, excuse my lango.

I can only say I agree with you Brum in your way to handle that kind of players. I simply ignore the sad pm's, swearing at me in any way. Invite to a game, but also talk to them has certainly been effective for me. I have had many excuses and invitations in the aftermath of it. As I typed earlier, I wouldn't have played or talked a lot with my friends if I were to report each and every person who's swearing at me lol. So use more block button or ignore the attention seeker, that's my advice. What I really react negatively to is racial discrimination, and try to resolve it as best I can for those who are exposed to it by contacting a mod. if I can't stop it myself.. and of course spamming/hacking!

RE: Abusing issue
I fully support your post there Moeen, i have been saying from day 1 that there needs to be more 'law enforcement' if you will. There are way to many people out there making 8Baller a bad experience for people to participate in, yes, giving the people who swear a warning is fair enough but how many warnign does it take for action to be taken, (if any warning where even ginen in the first place - no offence to Mod/Admin, but it happens) it should be one warning per person to make them aware of what they are doing and if no change then further action is needed to make 8Baller a more enjoyable place to be. As i have seen from peoples posts of the forum there are poeple aged 10 upwards playing on the site and is appauling that people are left alone to get on with their own thing when they are swearing and saying things that 10 year olds shouldnt hear, somthing definately needs to be dont to try and stop this sort of thing.

As a defense to the Mod/Admin team, i fully understand that precautions have already been taken to stop abusive words from being said on the game rooms because if you try to swear it will come up with a warning message, i know that no matter how many words get banned from the site that people will always change the way the words look so that they are understood and seen by other members. Im not sure what needs to be done at this time but as i say, more law enforcement is definately needed.

I hope this post is taken in the right way and not that i am just putting the 8Baller site down because i love being here and the people that are about are amazing to talk and play with, i just hope that one day 8Baller will be the place we all hope it to be, a fun and enjoyable place to be.

I would like to also say that there must be a place where we can meet this abbusivness in the middle and try and stop it before it gets out of hand, Yes people may say fk wtf fu in rooms but if both people are happy for it to happen then let it happen in pms and in rooms, just dont let everyone in lobby hear it and that is when a warning should be given, if they carry on they should have a temporary ban, if i broke the rules on 8baller id would fully expect a short term ban for not doing as im told and there would be nothing i could say or do to change that and you would just have to accept it

Thanks for listening Smile Mike

RE: Abusing issue
I agree with both you and Moeen Mike, but it's not easy to do what you suggest as long you're not a mod. or there are no mods. available. I think we should have like Gamezer have; if you are abusive with using blocked words and do that more then 3 times, you will be blocked from chat for a certain time. And that should be possible to do with short words for swearing words too I guess, just like the 3 letters in our alphabet is not allowed to typed and are blocked; æ,ø and å. Not easy to chat with someone from my country without that letters I can tell you Dodgy Big Grin
