What happened to team tourney rules?
This has been bothering me for a long time now so I decided to remind you of few things which I miss and I think are needed for a regular team tourney. Old teams will know what im talking about.

Awaiting results threads are empty lately. They contain just time and date, rules and nothing more. Before, along with the details, you had to post the whole line up and subs at least one day before the tourney. The line up players were to be substituted only by players on sub list..no one else and especially not 2 min before the tourney. If any of the line up players didn't show up and there was no one there from subs (which were very rare occasions) then TLs decided if they wanna take a default win for that game or allow someone else to step in. If a line up player found out that he couldnt make it on time or something came up, he would post it in the thread or let his TL know and then the change would be posted aswell and on time so everyone knows it.

Not a rare sight to come on time for the tourney and to realize that even TLs aren't there or they r but they're going through rooms trying to find someone to put in the line up. And then you have to wait for another 15 min..then another 15 to pair the players coz the line ups posted on forums aren't valid.

I think it was better before coz these days it's all messy and everyone does as they please..some even add the players in the team few min before the tourney so their line up would look better.
That way it becomes everything else but a quality tourney and starts fighting between teams which is not the purpose of holding them anyway.

So how about bringing the team tourneys to a higher level again?

RE: What happened to team tourney rules?
I would have to agree with Ivana on this one Dom . There is nothing wrong with bringing back some structure to the tournaments . Not only will things run on a more fair basis , but they would also run alot smoother .Cool

RE: What happened to team tourney rules?
I couldn't have said it better myself Ivana, and have missed this myself. I have two children with many activities and has allotted time to take part, if I haven't fixed me a deputy to be with them where they want or need it. So it can be quite frustrating and annoying if the tourney doesn't start until half an hour after schedule or perhaps even later .. and I could be with my children instead of waiting in the lobby Dodgy Big Grin

RE: What happened to team tourney rules?
That was one of the reasons why I start cleaning in every team and why I want push TL's to remove inactive players from team. On the team member list there is a lot of players but when we try to organize team tourney there is problem.
Recommendation for TL's:
Remove inactive players. If player's last login date is over 40 days old remove them.
Talk with ur tem members and tell them that is necessarily to to create forums acc and to be in tuch with team activity.
Fallow the rules the Ivana mentioned above. If u always have same players in the line up other players will fallow their example to participate team tournaments.
Don't be afraid to remove some players from team because when u have only active players in the team u will be high rate on the list. If u have 30 inactive and 5 active u will be lower then with only 10 active members.
If you have active members in ur team you will b more interested for new members and ur team will grow up.
Ask any mod for assistence when u take new member to cheak that player. You will have less problems.

Good luck and let's rock.
